Haiku
"A type of food thisfushigi must be!" exclaimed
a careless stranger.
Starving wolves howled
at the promise of dinner.
But it never came.
Thank you, M! And nice, Jim, I like it.The dark moon sheds light
on grey fur, through leaves and trees.
Sorrow in their hearts,
wolves travel in packs
wandering through a cursed land,
hoping for brave Jared.
He had led them straight
and true, never failing and
almost never blue.
I said to Moira,“The white wolf knows lonesome trails
through the Yukon snows,
with not a breath of
wind to shake the dark-firred shores
of the frozen lake.
Strewn there are jagged,
frost-spalled stones and brown remains
of prospectors’ bones.”
Glad I could be of service.Moira's breath steamed in
the frosty air as she stood
on her two feet in
the brown, crusted dirt.
Down she went and morphed into
a wolf, becoming
one with the pack and
continuing the search for
Jared the white wolf.
@ 3356-7. RotFL. LMHO. Sooooooo funny.Jim, M, Stephanie, beautiful and mythical. Fun to read!
Neve: I don't get whips!
Guy: Try them: you might like them.
Prof: Everyone does!
No, you're doing great, Jim! And thanks, Guy!I shake my fir and
stretch my legs. My time as a
wolf has not been long.
Compared to Black Moon,
I am but a tiny tree
sapling hoping to
grow not only in
size but also wisdom. They
say I would be good
for the great white wolf.
Some say it is time to let
him leave forever.
Jim Pascual Agustin wrote: "I think my posts are a bit out of sync with you guys, sorry."Not at all! Your haiku are excellent, so keep on posting them.
Ah, Kisha,
To wake with the sun
without an alarm or qualm
is lost memories.
kisha’s #3372 is well done! The syllable count is perfect, and each line embodies a distinct thought.
The alarm went offbut I didn’t hear it. I
think it was because
I wasn’t sleeping
anywhere near it, and sound
obeys certain laws.
M, RotFL!Did you hear about
the young man seeking wisdom
from his waking dreams?
Each night he forgot
to turn on his alarm clock
and thus slept through it.
How I like to sleep!When I have a choice, I would
rather stay in bed.
Imagine my shock
when a buttery voice purred,
“Get up, sleepyhead!”
Nonplussed, I sat up
with a jerk, for I knew my
wife had left for work.
Kisha, M, Jim, what a great start to my day! There took she my wit!
I saw it through the window,
long strands tempest tossed.
Not to worry, Kat! I didn’t spend any time on the Internet when I was in college, either.I left my heart in
Cincinnati, and my watch
and my billfold, too.

Fall in Ohio."
You live in Ohio too? Isn't it awful?"
Yes in Columbus, and it's absolutely dreadful. One day its a blizzard, 18 degrees and 4 inches of snow then the next no snow, raining and 50 degrees. Flu and allergy season for sure!
That's peanuts Kisha I'm in Norway here it drops to -22 Fahrenheit and 59 inches of snow in one night is not uncommon Ohio sounds like a summer paradise. I don't really write Haiku but since this is the Haiku link will supply one from a selection of poems written before the last sortie by Japanese kamikaze pilots here is one of them:In blossom today,
Then scattered:
Life is so like
A delicate Flower.
How can one expect
The Fragrance to last forever?
After Paris Icould not help but see Rome. And
there I stayed for years.
Flowers grew between
ancient walls, speaking of men.
Gladiators died.
Where those men died, the
odor remained for many
days. Now it is gone.

with a wince, “this is too Twen-

Then, noting a co-
