Haiku
So good Lee and M.Hello! I'm still alive.
The mores of dress
Left her naked and alone
A past to atone.
'Dump one or both?' she thoughther bills needed paying
and things to be bought.
(There's a grammatical error there, right? so here's the alternative)
'Dump one or both?'
she weighed her options
making a decision from 'satisfaction'.
At the moment, it was the only thing I could think of to rhyme with Ernest. They drank enough scotch
to drown in, then lit cigars
and brought a clown in.
In slumber, lovelyNew creation, a born child.
Wondrous gift from God
(One could guess I was going to originally say a line about a person holding a baby as that ties it to the previous haiku but I am just not that good at doing this well, lol).
M wrote: "Hers, a mood best steeped, unstirred, of leaves rust mottled,
strange chords vaguely heard."
So evocative M. Beautiful.
Thank you, Guy!A disheveled cat
with amber eyes climbed rusting,
creaking fire escapes,
sniffed burger wrappers,
dodged horse flies, and peered in rooms
through torn, faded drapes.
