the door. Hers were Nicean--

Raven (Reibunriinta) Oooh I didn't know that there was a thread for this. Okay, I might do some Japanese translations with some of this, if y'all don't mind. :) (I could use the practice tbh)

message 7753: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments That would be great , Raven! I don't speak for anyone but me, though. And maybe throw in some originals of your own, too. ;-)

message 7756: by M (last edited Apr 24, 2016 08:36AM) (new)

M | 11617 comments Thursday’s client calls
would keep. I silenced the clock
in queasy half sleep.

On dun sheets, tousled,
shapely, Cheri sprawled, the firm’s
new secretary,

a scent of nectar
in her hair. Then I recalled
how she’d gotten there,

her after-work smile,
the hotel bar, how late we’d
staggered to my car,

the insects mobbing
a streetlight, a sax’s wail
in the August night.
