Oooh I didn't know that there was a thread for this. Okay, I might do some Japanese translations with some of this, if y'all don't mind. :) (I could use the practice tbh)

That would be great , Raven! I don't speak for anyone but me, though. And maybe throw in some originals of your own, too. ;-)

I got a problem
Of future-planning downtimes
When should be working :|

some days my challenge
roars over rooftops, others
I struggle to rise

Thursday’s client calls
would keep. I silenced the clock
in queasy half sleep.

On dun sheets, tousled,
shapely, Cheri sprawled, the firm’s
new secretary,

a scent of nectar
in her hair. Then I recalled
how she’d gotten there,

her after-work smile,
the hotel bar, how late we’d
staggered to my car,

the insects mobbing
a streetlight, a sax’s wail
in the August night.

Lay awake in bed
a place of deep slumbers- dead
waiting for the rest.

The landscape he roamed,
his last slumbers, wore a dusk’s
russets and umbers.

Her adumbrations,
Cloaked in unctuous umbers,
Fell prey to Eos.

Prey to the EOS,
she gasped, “Oh, my! Just some old
Rebel T3i.”

The men surrounded
The young woman's bloated corpse
On the bloodied deck.

Nice Gashbeen and Al! These made me laugh. :-)

Two months almost passed
by, the bloated corpse was still
on the bloodied deck.

Ravens bit the neck
Tourists shriek, children squeak, *Sigh*
"Another day at the beach."

Her infested corpse
was loaded, and what a smell
when it exploded!

A seagull paused, stopped
his pickin' to proclaim, "hmm...
tastes just like chicken"

One squawked, “This part tastes
just like fish!” The gulls agreed
she’d been quite a dish.

I shouldn't be laughin'; M, you... naughty, naughty!

Her long letters sketched
a summer’s moods, the mansion’s
stained-glass solitudes.

Thief breaks into house:
Finds letters scattered, he shakes,
knows now it's his friend's.

That one was kind of bad. Not even average.

Here's another:

When ones think "all's well!"
World in tragic comfort; it
comes like a night thief.

Like a thief in the night
He entered her life
Now she's dead.

'Never my intent,'
he was heard to say. 'I just
took her breath away.'

To err is human
And to breathe is to stumble
Ere the dark of night.

Nights are dark and full
of terror; human beings
are full of error.

'error! error!' the computer beeps
Poor woman starts to weep
"All I did was take a seat!"

*sigh* That's all I could come up with.

The computer beeped,
Lee-lette sighed, and an as-yet-
nameless woman cried.

She weeped,she wailed
Did Jesus cry so much
when he was nailed?

She continued in tears
till she fell asleep 'Beep!
Beep!' She shuffled to her feet.

I'm famous!!

Fame’s horrible price,
now she knew, was embalmment
in rhyming haiku.

"This is terrible!"
Said those behind the scenes
"These horrible haiku make me grieve!"

Fame is oh so fleet
And its footprints as irksome
As high stilettos.

Her fame wrought riches,
jealousies and desire...
yet she had no one.

Only but a shadow,
so lonely, so hollow
Ah! the price of fame.

Fame, fame, what a shame.
If you're so perfect why'd you,
have to change your name?

Fame's just a mask now
A useless cover
yet she's still lonely.

“I’m through with heartache,”
wept Holly, “with jealousy
and melancholy!”

The dashing lad bent
the corner, meeting the weeping
heart broken Holly.

He fixed his face
Quickened his pace
To entice her with a lolly.

All these brought a smile to my face. Well done.

I vowed to hate it
But it sweetens with the years
Sly black licorice

It deceived me!
Lured me in, now
I feel like I have sinned.

Fool me this one time
I thank you for the lesson,
Walk with a light step.

He shrank from conflict,
sidestepped strife, munched Granola,
and tiptoed through life.

Try as he may
He couldn't escape
Life caught up with him.

He gaped in sculpted
surprise. Life had long lashes
and calm, knowing eyes.

He was cornered surrounded,
by his own sins. His
face paled, his smile thinned.
