And 'your little idea' is easily my favorite thread. So, thank you :)

Hello Jessica! OMG, I was wondering just the other day if you would ever post here again. I re-read your opening haiku, and it is still stands up so well. And, I'm with Ryan. Your little idea is truly my favourite thread, it is so filled with diversity, wit, wisdom, imagery and very often brilliance.

And your latest is beautiful and such a subtle continuation! Very nice.

No words did he have
to free him from the disgrace
of the ache he felt.

Dripping ambrosia,
Her voice is moonlight dancing;
Night's bare flesh cooling.

This is my favorite thread, too. Hi, Jessica!

Dark heaven, bliss awaits!
Ones' mouths drooling, ganache
sits in pan cooling.

Dark as the night your
decadent temptation our
appetite sated.

What night was ever
quite so dark as the May Eve
we ran through the park?

What dawn was ever
quite so bright as the morning
after that May night?

It was come what may
that Mayday unbailing hay
in the dark cool barn.

He’d stolen the hay.
There was no doubt. His lawyer,
though, soon baled him out.

His was free.
Form the cells and chains.
All this trouble for a little hay.

It was May that day
That made away with his hay
And left him un-maid.

Her hair smelled of hay,
of summer and first kisses;
breathless, petrichor.

His fingers trembled
childhood's last tattoo, across
her pale, arching spine.

Under the full moon
Breath now quiet and languid
Their skin now is one.

They writhed in the loft,
flushed with desire, nor noticed
the barn was on fire.

they’d never seen--the newest

were their lashes, heavy
laden with piles of ashes.

That blue-eyed, long-lashed,
mortal-sins day, Tuesday Weld
starred in Ash Wednesday,

leaving our bared souls
to yearn, who had sprung from dust
and must soon return.

gave the high-heeled gumshoe

He swore off vodka,
Cuban cigars, and women
in British sportscars.

A faraway drum
scored the night; nearby, the hum

the parabolic,
cone of light, defines, and dulls,
the concept of night.

A hyperbolic
paraboloid hulked in the weeds,
like shades of Pink Floyd.

much weed was needed,
we both conceded, the song,
of pink deleted.

The mechanical-
bull-riding girl fled the club
like a frightened squirrel.

The running woman
caught a plane to Pamplona
to chase her bull dream.

(How can I let a girl riding a mechanical bull simply fade into the background?)

Poor Hubert nearly
wore out his lips while kissing
Dora’s ample hips.

Hubert wasn’t fond
of the Kinks, and he needed
more than forty winks.

She served chips and dips,
With chains and whips, oh so hip,
Says do not sue me.

I have no shame.

[LOL! And I missed all the food references to go and have supper! ]

When Huey asked for Dewey
to start to sue me.

Shame knows not my name.
