Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments LOL!

Gogo* cried 'No no!
To go swimming for Godot
I will lose my boots!'

*Gogo is a character in the play, Waiting for Godot.

(As I was re-reading this, thinking about changing 'boots' or that line to something else, from YouTube came Zoë Keating's Seven League Boots. So I decided to leave the boots as they were.)

(Adams apples are those bumps on the neck, right?)

message 6822: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments (I feel just horrible. I’ve tracked mud in a thread that, until now, has never given the reader the slightest cause to arch an eyebrow.)

message 6823: by Ryan (last edited Apr 01, 2015 07:42AM) (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments Eyebrows arched at Eve
the biter, meanwhile Adam

message 6839: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Thank you, Ryan! I think 8270 is one of the memorable greats. Can it really be that this thread has over 8,000 posts? Holy smoke!

message 6840: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments Thanks, M. I went back and read through most of it yesterday and I had the same thought - the thread has grown very long. There are some absolute gems hidden within.

Cassandra, Alexandra,

On the down slide of karma
In a bad batch of Grappa.

Once we were so young,
Consuming goodly grappa,
Great panacea!

message 6845: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Consuming pancakes
With bacon and argument
We grappled the piece
We thought we'd lose in syrup
And empty panaceas.

M | 11617 comments Bertrand, in Quidditch,
