Why did you leave me?

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments My heart was stolen,
before you opened your mouth,
your eyes spoke to me.

a force we know yet do not
it's mysterious.

he does not regret the green
on the college track

I risked it and kissed the frog,
but received no prince.

M | 11617 comments She’s not felt regal
since she stood for a mug shot
and they took her prince.

message 5363: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments A prince-less princess
surrounded by kissing frogs...
a ribbiting tale.

message 5364: by [deleted user] (new)

Ribbits are better
than manly burps I guess
Keep your ribbit Prince.:)

Nicky (soundgirl) | 1388 comments M wrote: "She’s not felt regal

Love it!

in his lilypad kingdom,
until the prince croaked.

M | 11617 comments (Thank you, Nicky!)

Thus he died, a frog
in his throat, and slowly sank
in the castle moat.

message 5368: by [deleted user] (new)

In the castle moat
were a gaggle of white geese
one mewed like a cat.

message 5369: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments They drifted, dreamlike,
without cease, reading Sonnets
from the Portu-geese

message 5370: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments I have to admit, that established a new low point in the haiku thread. I’ll try to do better.

message 5371: by [deleted user] (new)

lol! It's not, M, I'm trying to follow it but I couldn't think straight :P

message 5372: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments Good morning, Leslie! It’s almost lights out for me.

message 5373: by [deleted user] (new)

Good night, M! :)

message 5374: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments The haiku thread was
in despair, as M slept with
his stuffed teddy bear.

message 5375: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments (Mandy, you’ve got the rhyme down!)

From a dreamed shoreline
she motioned, lissome, long-haired,
and suntan lotioned.

message 5376: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments Riding a wave he
hung ten, watching nude surfing
always made her grin.

message 5377: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments The clouds stifled yawns
as the surf roared. What thrilled her
just made the surf bored.

message 5378: by Nicky (new)

Nicky (soundgirl) | 1388 comments (That's very clever! They don't have to rhyme though do they?
Well here goes...)

Slate grey waves crashed
all along the frigid shore
gold sand,wind whipped.

message 5379: by M (new)

M | 11617 comments (Beautiful, Nicky! No, they’re not supposed to rhyme. I can’t remember how I got started doing that. It’s become a bad habit.)

message 5380: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments Stunning, Nicky! Your day at the beach with the photo attempts?

M - who knows and who cares?! Your rhyming 5-7-5's are like my morning coffee.

message 5381: by Nicky (new)

Nicky (soundgirl) | 1388 comments It did cross my mind as I was writing! I'm not sure I could get then rest of the tale into a 5,7,5 rhythm though!

message 5382: by Nicky (new)

Nicky (soundgirl) | 1388 comments (After I posted the last comment and walked away this popped into my head!)

Hopping and jumping
like men, not with ants, but with
cold sea in their pants!

message 5383: by Ryan (new)

Ryan | 5334 comments Haha, you've been infected by M's rhyming already ;)

Ryan | 5334 comments While smuggling budgies,
cool waves lift his baritone

At incoming tide
the cold sea changed his low sea

he found the key, but sharks’ mouths
were clefs full of sharps.

Lol! Clever, Ryan and M :)

he pitched a higher

a shark's slick, sharp tongue

the bin, with signed papers now
torn into pieces.

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments In class yesterday, my French teacher let us was the video Disney made of Let It Go in 25 different languages. It was really cool.

Didn't want to leave.

Here, she was the queen.

message 5399: by Mandy (new)

Mandy Blake | 1231 comments The queen was free, the
