TPBM
Yes, in a way. When my cousin asked 'What is music?' buried in a longish e.mail, I thought he was being ironical. How can one answer that?! But when we talked later, he was disappointed when I didn't give him an answer. Since then I've been struggling to answer the question, and am now resorting to asking people more or less at random at inappropriate times or in inappropriate places.
Christa, ff you were to write a paper on that I'd love to read it! Isn't that just about the hardest question, ever?
TPBM will take pity on Guy's plight and supply a delectable description of what music is.
Music is emotion embodied within sound (usually set to a tempo, but not necessarily).TPBM is up way past their bedtime.
Thank you Zack. Is it okay if I use your definition?Yes, I am.
TPBM is working on a long over due blog posting.
Not a blogger.(Of course you can Guy, but I want 20% of all profits ..aah I'm feeling generous. Help yourself, no royalties required, just glad to help) You don't need to ask unless its a short or poem. Everything else is gravy baby. But I do respect you for asking. You've got class Guy.TPBM is going to sleep in tomorrow.
No. I like getting up early. If I’ve stayed up past my bedtime, sometimes on a weekend I’ll sleep in until six or seven, which is very late for me.TPBM is enjoying a first cup of coffee and wondering whether rain will dash the agenda to mow.
No coffeemaker? I’d be going through withdrawal. No long drives for me today. In that way, today will be like my golf game.TPBM isn’t old enough to know what a spoon club or a brassie or a mashie is.
Never heard of them before so I guess not.TPBM's blogger didn't automatically post the blog post today even though it was scheduled to.
Well, my blogspot did what it was supposed to, which was to maintain its presence in the blogosphere — at least I think it did. [Pause to check.] Phew! Yup, it did.M, I am sipping my first cup of coffee and nibbling on lemon-blueberry cake. And I've heard of the spoon club, brassie and mashie. One of the funniest Hagar comics was of Hagar swinging the mashie-niblick.
TPBM is laughing at the visual of Hagar swinging a golf club.
I don't really know who Hagar is, but I do know that I'm not fond of short, stumpy vikings and the game of golf. TPBM prefers polar swimming to skinny-dipping.
haha .. No, Think I would rather be naked in a warm pool than clothed in a freezing one.TPBM is about to post a comment in the "The Person Below me GAME"
NO! I love Amazon. What would me life be without Amazon I don't like to think.TPBM thinks family dynamics are fascinating?
I do, which is why I've spent a life time, so far, reading Jungian psychology. Of course, that hasn't helped!TPBM finds dream deciphering interesting and worthwhile.
Yes, but with qualifications that would require an essay.TPBM finds projection one of the fascinating concepts in Analytical Psychology.
Yes! Especially because once you become aware of the phenomena, it gives you the opportunity to learn about yourself, and stop blaming others.TPBM has become concerned that they may have been deluded by something they thought was true.
Okay, I should have spelled out the implication from personal experience with them. I know what they are, but the industry had progressed to clubs with metal shafts and numbered heads many years before I sent golf balls flying into ponds and treetops and cart sheds.TPBM is busily working on a story for this week’s contest.
It's true that I don't have much money, but I'm not too fond of soda, so I'm okay. TPBM dreams of flying to the moon in a cheese space craft.
Yes, it's almost as if you read my mind. TPBM is now thinking of what kind of cheese the space craft would be made of.
No, but my wife bought a few dusty novels at Peapicker Books this afternoon.TPBM hasn’t had dinner yet.
no, just stuffed my face, im such a glutton. TPBM is going to head out for a night on the town tonight.
YES! I'm the best egg hunter this side of the Atlantic. It's my superpower. I try to give the kids a chance, but with a talent like that, who can waste it.TPBM loves the little egg shaped whoppers that look like robins eggs.
Yes, I'm on the seafood diet. (you know, the see food you eat it one) Hope you feel better Alex.TPBM is a jelly bean fanatic.
I am what I am, whatever that may be.TPBM wants a cream-cheese-filled danish and a blueberry scone to have with coffee.
Danish? Mmm, that sounds good. But I'll pass on the scone and coffee.TPBM finished a great book last night.
@*&^ Yes indeed, lol. I'm definitely a muffin man, but cant help but think about the rich, spoiled girl in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory every time I eat blueberries.TPBM is thinking that Gene Wilder played a much better Wonka than Johnny Depp.
Yes, but I think that was because the screen play and directing of the Depp version of the movie was more flawed than was the Wilder version. I read the book, which is EXCELLENT, and there were different things dropped from the book in each which detracted from the movies. TPBM found the Depp pirate movies less entertaining than the hype around them.
Hmm, well I don't know, them movies arrrgunna be classics. TPBM has sadly lost their wallet more than once.
Yes and no. Each time the loss has been very temporary, with full recovery. TPBM takes the time to keep a dream journal.
No, but I had the thought.TPBM has sun shining into his/her living room and sees that the floor is in need of cleaning and is looking forward to doing some housework.
I do need to to some housework but looking forwards to it? No, I much prefer the gardens.TPBM had a fun Easter?
No, unless TPBMing can be considered a crude form of texting.TPBM is siting back and enjoying the balcony deck they just cleaned all the winter grime from.
Sitting on the deck actually ..good guess Guy. But not clean, in the middle of extending a corner section, so after digging a 10' x 6' x 4 ' section of dirt all morning, its a bit messy.TPBM is enjoying a tall glass of sweet tea

TPBM is now thinking hard on what qualifies as music?
