Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments First off, 'carnivore' is my absolute favorite song right now. (It's so awesome!)

And I guess I'm forgiving of celebrities, seeing that as a general rule I don't listen to anything they say...

TPBM is a huge fan of anything by Lloyd Alexander.

message 7402: by Garrison (new)

Garrison Kelly (cybador) | 10185 comments I haven't read anything by him, so I wouldn't know. But judging from his Wikipedia profile, he seems like a cool author to get into. :)

message 7410: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments LOL! Oops, was that an inappropriate response, when 'Yes' would have been adequate.

TPBM enjoys flamenco music.

message 7411: by Deepak (new)

TPBM has always wanted to go on long walks at night when the moon is out, but never actually does so, because nighttime is as dangerous as it is appealing.

message 7413: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I've done it a few times when I was a kid visiting my grandma's home. But I'm with you in saying that now I want to do it and I have to settle for sitting outside with a cup of tea.

Maria (mariasaleem) | 119 comments Angie wrote: "It's too bitter for me. I've never taken more than a sip.

I'm exactly like that! I don't wanna grow up and end up like the adults in my family. They're so addicted they get headache for skipping tea for even one of the two or three times they usually have it in a day. They choose to get addicted. They start drinking tea when they're 'grown up enough'

message 7429: by C. J., Cool yet firm like ice (new)

C. J. Scurria (goodreadscomcj_scurria) | 4489 comments Yes I do. It's not filling and is kind of disgusting to me at times (the big meals anyway).

If TPBM had the chance they'd sample different foods from every culture in the world!

message 7430: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I've been on that path and while I'd like to try every culture's food, I think I'll be more selective after finding squid in my soup.

TPBM has broken the fourth wall in one of his/her stories.

message 7431: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments I've always wanted to! I put sarcastic fourth wall breaks in my first drafts ('and here, folks, we have some really awkward exposition...') but I usually edit them out later :)

TPBM has a large collection of well-loved mass market paperbacks.

message 7432: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Not really. Only a few. I prefer tributary writers as distinct from mainstream. Maybe because I was a gluttonous mainstream book reader when I was young.

TPBM is wonders how non-mainstream writers make a living.

message 7433: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments I wonder about that a lot because I think we can assume that there's as much non-mainstream writers as mainstream if not more.

[@Grace, the first chapter of a novel I've been working on is titled, "Obligatory Flashbacks". So I'm with you there. :D]

message 7435: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments It's mesmerizing, I'll give you that but not a deep love for Zebra print.

[Assassin's Creed is one of my favourite game series. AC2 and AC: Revelations (The music is so goose-bump inducing in AC: R) are among my favourite games of all time.]

TPBM wants to watch the Oscars.

message 7438: by Guy (last edited Feb 27, 2016 03:40PM) (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Sort of. Once I learned it was a memory trick, I wasn't interested. And I didn't have the patience to figure out the moves myself. So I figured out how to take it apart and put it together.

TPBM has a new job lined up that will start soon.

message 7439: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Well I have my eye on one, but it's not quite lined up yet...

TPBM is fascinated by the idea of time travel.

message 7440: by Deepak (new)

Deepak (noobhemingway) | 284 comments Very much so! While it wasn't the thing that piqued my interest in physics, it's still one of the things that I keep coming back to. Both in fiction and when trying to understand how the universe works.

TPBM likes minimalism.

message 7441: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments I do, but not as much as the existentialism of Epictetus and Taoist philosophy as examples of minimalism in thought.

message 7444: by Maria (new)

Maria (mariasaleem) | 119 comments I'm annoyed, actually. When you're so optimistic about a day but then it starts to suck because everything goes so not the way as planned due to stupid people messing up, is just too much.

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments It's kind of hard to dislike any flavor of ice cream, but I do enjoy chocolate better :)

TPBM is in the middle of editing their latest writing project.

message 7446: by Maria (new)

Maria (mariasaleem) | 119 comments How did you know? O.O it's a book review that I'm editing,actually.

TPBM thinks it is weird to not like cake.

message 7447: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments Haha awesome! I'm editing myself so just thought I'd see if anyone else was doing the same :)
And I'm actually one of those weird people who just can't see the point of cake.

TPBM is always disappointed by film depictions of dragons.

message 7448: by Guy (new)

Guy (egajd) | 11249 comments Usually, but not quite always.

TPBM enjoyed the depiction of the Balrog, even though it didn't match his/her imagination of it.

message 7449: by Grace (new)

Grace Crandall (gracecrandall) | 299 comments The Balrog was awesome :D That's still one of my favorite scenes from the whole trilogy. I grew up watching the movies, though, and didn't read the books until a couple of years ago, so I didn't actually have a mental picture to compare it to :|

TPBM is automatically skeptical of YA trilogies.

message 7450: by Angie (new)

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments I'm automatically skeptical of anything YA. Most have turned out woefully disappointing.

TPBM has a certain author whose books they automatically read, regardless of what it's about.
