Somebody I know is far too young to be tired of life. You’ve heard Will Bradley’s “Celery Stalks at Midnight”? I’m amazed. That was on one of the 78’s I used to listen to when I was growing up.TPBM never breaks dishes.

I wouldn’t say that I hate myself, but it sure was a missed opportunity. The sacrifices I make for yard work . . .TPBM has figured out that Frank Sinatra and Doris Day were the most fabulous voices on the Hit Parade between 1940 and 1960.
I don’t loathe it. It’s the only exercise I get. I worked in the yard for five hours today, and you can’t tell I’ve done anything out there. It’s the cheapest, most interesting exercise program I know of.TPBM wants to write something really provocative.
I don’t gain weight anywhere except right on my belly. When I gain weight, I look like I’m pregnant. If I were pregnant with a novel, I don’t think I’d mind it so much.TPBM likes malts better than milkshakes.

That’s me!I’m the same way about my writing. I’ve never been interested in getting published--which, in my case, is probably a fortunate thing. Every writer has an audience, but whoever mine is, it isn’t the reading public.

I am, too. I think success came too fast for the people who engineered Goodreads, and they don’t care very much whether it’s practical for those who use it.
