TPBM
Yep, that would be me. Although most of the time, whenever I think I'm alone, my sneaky niece Reina hides somewhere in my room and listens to me.TPBM believes Viktor Menzies is a good name for a paladin.

I haven't read the book, but the movie was good.

The book is significantly better than the very good movie.
Yes I do enjoy green grapes were better than purple ones, but I think I like red seedless better than the green ones.TPBM is looking forward to the HBO series based on Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake trilogy.
Nope, I'm not, because I just finished posting a greeting response and by completely ignoring your TPBM post and comment on something non-sequetorial, such as 'Yes, the sun is shining here and the weather has been exceptionally dry'.TPBM is going to become fully aware that Guy was unable to not comment on Neal's comment about comments and comment on Guy's silly futility at even trying to do so.
After reading the dramatic stories in the "Lifeline" thread, laughing is not an option. Melissa and Nadia's stories touched my heart the most.TPBM keeps his or her shoes in a TV shelf.
I don't, but the kids do.
TPBM collects gel ink pens.
TPBM collects gel ink pens.
I don't, but if I did, I'd actually have something to write with around the house every once and a while. My niece Reina loses pens and pencils left and right.TPBM is grateful for everything they have in life.
If I was richer, I'd still be Garrison and wouldn't let having that much money corrupt me.TPBM uses Random.org to make artistic decisions (because he or she likes surprises).
I'm not an artist, so no. When TPBM watches nature documentaries, they wonder how in the world the film was caught.
The cameramen grow dragon wings and fly around the scene. I'm kidding, of course. Hehe!TPBM is a fan of The Moody Blues.
Nope. No cookies today, but I will enjoy a big chunk of mint chocolate bar later.TPBM tends to tune out the world when reading a book or listening to music.
Seeing as how most of my world consists of cars driving by with their mufflers cut off, yes, that would be an accurate assessment of my music and book time.Like my best friend Susan, TPBM gets squeamish whenever they see the CD cover for Hellyeah’s "Blood For Blood".
Never seen that cover, yet I am certain, that I would be squeamish. Based on the name alone.TPBM does judge books by their cover.
Not really. My intuition doesn't pay attention to them, and I trust my intuition's judgment/opinion.TPBM is feeling a little woozy this morning after going to bed too late, getting up too early.
Nope, I haven't even been able to write a story in months either. I really need to get better about that this summer.TPBM watches American Ninja Warrior.
Nope, I've never had those before. I hope they're good!TPBM believes that advertising his or her own writing is a two-way street.
I do, but recognize that if I don't advertise it, who will?TPBM has written enough worthwhile poems, now, to put together a book.
I already did. It's called "Confessions of a Schizophrenic Savage" and currently holds a four-star rating here on Good Reads...with one vote, of course.TPBM thinks The Lord of the Rings is the name of a professional wrestler (if you do, then according to Jeff Foxworthy, you might be a redneck).
I do not think that. Does that mean, logically, that I am not a redneck?TPBM has no idea who Jeff Foxworthy is, but suspects that if Jeff is worthy of Fox, then his politics are idiotic.
I always wake up at four am.
TPBM is wondering what to read next.
TPBM is wondering what to read next.
I don't drink smoothies in the morning. I eat Hot Pockets instead, which as my mother would sarcastically say are recommended by nutritionists everywhere. Hehe!TPBM enjoys foreign language music despite not being able to understand the lyrics.
I haven't heard any before, but I'm sure it'd be nice. When I think of foreign language music, I think of German metal band Rammstein and Indian sitar player Ravi Shankar.TPBM thinks it’s funny that Alan Parker’s name is an anagram of A Real Prank.
Better than listening to my schipperke bark his head off. Hell, he's probably scaring away the little birdies.TPBM’s favorite flavor of Powerade is mixed berry (blue).
I have a brother who is two years older than me. His name is James.TPBM wonders about the fate of The Simpsons now that Harry Shearer is leaving the show.
I don't watch the Simpsons, so no.TPBM feels conflicted when their favorite author starts another series when their favorite series is still incomplete.
I've never had that happen to me before, so I can't relate. Sorry! When it comes to the contest polls, TPBM is a good sport even when he or she doesn’t get any votes.
I try very hard to be a good sport about everything, but I can admit that it is one of my weaknesses and that dealing with my pride is a constant issue I need to deal with.TPBM understands that admitting their weaknesses is the first step to becoming a better person.
Yes. Although it is debatable because maybe the first step is to accept that admitting that one has weaknesses is more important in life than the acquisition of social and/or monetary success.TPBM is surprised that the dialogues of Epictetus are filled with the same kinds of political and human observations to be read in current social critiques and self help books, even though he died in the 2nd century.
not really...because I don't know who Epictetus is and I don't bother reading self help books TPBM thinks that "conventional wisdom" is usually a whole lot of nonsense
The phrase "conventional wisdom" is just a loaded buzzword politicians use to get votes. There are a million buzzwords that can be used to achieve these ends.TPBM knows that the phrase "sour grapes" has more to do with rationalizing failure than it does being a sore loser.
I hadn't thought of that in that way. Sour grapes make poor wine, and so the original of the phrase has to do with knowing that what one has started with will not give optimal results regardless of the effort put into it. From that perspective, it seems a perfectly rational metaphor meaning that quality of effort is independent of the quality of the result.TPBM finds the etymology and metamorphosis of words and language fascinating.
