TPBM likes reading the history and origins of nursery rhymes.

Recently I learned that the phrase "pull yourself up by you bootstraps" was used to point out when someone was being foolish, because it defies the laws of physics to pull yourself up using your own boot straps. In America we have turned it into something admirable and even desirable.

Marie (naturechild02) I'm very afraid of my own mind. It takes me along very dark paths. I can begin writing a story that is cheerful and sweet and suddenly it gets dark and morbid.
Let's just keep this place closed to the public.

TPBM is starting a new weight loss program tomorrow and is pretty confident about it, for once.

TPBM accepts death as a natural and necessary part of being alive.

TPBM is fascinated by Latin.

TPBM considers themselves to be straightedge.

TPBM has become adept at sharpening to a razor's their kitchen knives.

On a side note, being straightedge means you don't smoke, do drugs, or drink alcohol.

When TPBM sees animals out in public, they feel the need to go pet them.

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments When I think about that sugar gliders, I think about how squirrels and other small rodents can be carriers of the bubonic plague.

TPBM hates it when small animals choose to cross the road directly in front of their car.

Angie Pangan | 4795 comments No, not as of yet. So far, I've had tea and a croissant for breakfast, planning to have fish for lunch, and then go to a friend's house tonight, which probably translates to pizza. Not much room for a kohlrabi salad today.

TPBM has started a new TV show on Netflix recently.

TPBM enjoys rubbing dead skin cells off when swimming in a chlorinated pool or hot tub.

TPBM enjoys the pungent smell of ocean beach.

TPBM enjoys the mental health benefits of exercising.

TPBM loves how watching rain fall from a cloud on the horizon lets you see the edges of the storm.

Most of TPBM’s household chores involve heavy lifting.

Nadia | 690 comments No, I've been loading up on all my natural remedies to avoid just that. try rubbing lavander oil on your temples, it usually helps me.

TPBM is excited for Thursday to come!
