Threes Company
I guess I should introduce myself. The name is Gisbelle, which is read as Jezebel, just spelled differently. I read anything and everything. Frankly speaking, I have heard of some of the tv shows on the list, but I have yet to watch any of them. I am not a huge fan of tv, just so you know. I'll do my best to earn some points for our team, though. :)
Hi, Team!! I'm excited to be a part of this team!! I have played on a similar team challenge using music and I'm excited to do one about tv shows. I admit to watching alot of TV! I will do my best to find books with the highest points, but I have certain books I have to read for other challenges. But I will make it work.We need to come up with a name and a captain. In honor of TV, we could do "Threes Company". Just an idea.
Love the team name Leslie :)I will definitely need your help then. I am going to google some of shows and see what they are about. I only watch a few sitcoms :D
No worries! I'm sure we will all be helping each other. I am familiar with all the shows but a couple. I will go ahead and friend everyone on the team. Looking forward to this game!
The only show that really worries me is Walking Dead. Not a zombie fan but I'm sure there'll be more to connect than zombies. Although I do like one series that has a minimal zombie aspect. NOt sure what to make of the soap opera that was added either.
Confession time: I love Roseanne. Every weekend I watch the Roseanne marathon on TV Land while doing my housework.
This is the book that comes to my head for Walking Dead. It has zombies in it but they aren't the main focus. Not sure if I would connect in any other way. I'll worry about it when that show is called.
is only zombie book that didn't make me want to stop reading.
most disturbing zombie book ever! At least to me.
OK I was wrong. I'm a little worried about South Park and The Tonight Show. I cannot think of anything to connect to them. I have never watched either. The only shows I've ever watched on the list are Roseanne, Cheers and True Blood.
I just read a zombie science fiction romance that was pretty good. The zombies were tolerable.
Also, the Iron Seas series has zombies and it's amazing. Highly recommend it if you haven't read.
Not sure where they are going with the Tonight Show or South Park. I've never watched South Park or Walking Dead. I'm familiar with everything else.
Just a little info - I live in Louisiana; I am home due to an illness and so I'm on the computer on and off all day.
I'm in Massachusetts. I am usually on and off all day because I can go online at work. Fridays are actually a really good day for the pick to be made for me. Most Fridays, I'm in the office by myself most of the day and can be on the computer to look up books. Not that I always get them read that quickly.
I am in Texas and I am on and off all day too
I don't care to be a co-captain if someones wants to be the other

I work part time, so I am online on and off all day too. This week though, I have to wrap up a project before having a two-week vacation next week. So, I am a bit busy.Since I am new to this team challenge thing, I am sure I'm not suitable for the position :)
I stole this from Team 4 but I added some myself: Names are character names I remember and think might be allowed.
Grimm 2011
Roseanne 1988 (Roseanne, Dan, Jackie; maybe names Becky, Darlene, D.J: surname of Connor)
Walking Dead 2010
True Blood 2008(most likely names: Sookie, Bill, Eric, Jason)
Cheers 1982 (Sam, Diane, Carla)
Gunsmoke 1955 (Matt, Doc, Kitty, Festus, Chester)
South Park 1997 ( Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman.)
As The World Turns 1956 (no clue)
The Tonight Show 1954 (Johnny, Jay, Steve, Conan)
Here's a list of "city" settings...
♦Grimm-Portland, Oregon
♦Roseanne-Lanford, Illinois (Dresden File books by Jim Butcher are set in Illinois)
♦The Walking Dead-Atlanta, Georgia
♦True Blood-Bon Temps, Louisanna (Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris)
♦Cheers-Boston, Massachuttes
♦Gunsmoke-Dodge City, Kansas
♦South Park-South Park, Colorado
♦As the World Turns-Oakdale, Illinios
♦The Tonight Show-Burbank, California
I asked if rereads are allowed because I have a few of the Sookie Stackhouse books downloaded from Audible. I wouldn't mind listening to one again and it's been years since I did. Sadly the next book doesn't come out until May and I've read them all. (not that they're the only books that can be connected but why not if it's allowed?)
I'm pretty sure they will allow re-reads as long you read the entire book again. That's how it has been on other team challenges. And thanks for posting that, Mary! Trolling is always so much fun!
Ok rereads are allowed as long as the whole book is reread and not just skimmed. Good to know that I have that option with the Sookie Stackhouse books.
I did that last time too. I had read it in print and then got the audio version from the library and listened to it right before the new one came out. Good idea. Maybe I'll see if I can get the audio version from my library for the last one.
I've done like no prep for this at all other than thinking of the one book I have that might work for the zombies and finding out if I can reread a Sookie Stackhouse book.
Mary wrote: "I've done like no prep for this at all other than thinking of the one book I have that might work for the zombies and finding out if I can reread a Sookie Stackhouse book."LOL, I know Mary. I did so much research for the Dance Party and hardly ever ended up reading a book I researched before it was called. I've decided to wait on this one to search out books.
I've been spending all my time on another team challenge which shall remain nameless! I'm winging it on this one. I just hope I do better than I did on Dance Party. I frankly stunk at that game! I'm hoping because it's about TV shows, it will be kinder to me.
Okay, here it is!! Have fun teammates!!As the world turns 1956
