Review: I Loved this story! Had me hooked from beginning to end as I followed along Sara and her family as they discovered secrets about a family they never knew they had as bad things began to happen to them. Sara discovers a truth about herself as well. The characters were well rounded and full of life or well most of them were anyhow (alive that is LOL).

Grimm Week 3

The Duke Is Mine by Eloisa James

Review: after 2 not so great attempts for this week, I was more than glad to find this. I have loved everything I've read by Eloisa James, and this was no exception. The heroine, Olivia, was a plump, saucy, sassy thing who's parents trained her to be a duchess;the training didn't quite take though lol Her betrothed was someone she really didn't want to marry. When she meets Quin, Duke of Sconces, she knows he is who she's meant to be with even though she's there with her sister to go threw a battery of "tests" to see if she's duchess material (hence the fact that it's a retelling of The Princess and the Pea). Needless to say, things work out for Olivia and Quin and they get their HEA :)

Edge of Sight by Roxanne St. Claire

Review: this was my first by Roxanne St. Claire and won't be my last! I think she did a wonderful job balancing action and romance. Not to mention, I was surprised by who actually was behind the murder. I'm looking forward to more in this series cause I love the Angelino/Rossi family :)

Wow Susan! You finished really fast! :o And you actually managed to get me intrigued with the part that the murder mystery in your book was good. Too bad I can't find it either... But I found a book that could work for setting and if the mods accept the use of the name Norman instead of just Norm it will be worth 11 points. If not - I'll read the 8 points one. ;)

I did finish it quickly. Hubs went hunting this morning and I woke up at 4:30 when his alarm went off and couldn't go back to sleep. Then later in the morning when I was attempting to get dressed, I pinched a nerve in my back and had to crawl back to bed. Sooo, I've been laying with a heating pad reading.

Oh, poor you! :( I hope you're OK!

After crawling from the bathroom to my bed and laying flat on it I sort of passed out from the pain :( woke up when I heard Hubs ask our daughter how I felt. It was like 45 minutes later. I've taken some meds and have the heating pad and it feels a bit better at the moment. Not sure how I'll cook Easter dinner tomorrow though lol thank goodness the girls are old enough that they can do it.

Thanks to both of you for the get better wishes. I'm hoping I won't be down long. The last time this happened I wad out of commission for about 2 weeks :( thankfully it doesn't happen often.

I'm doing absolutely nothing today - have made some Danish traditional Easter food that I'll have for dinner (I can't believe it's already 6!), but otherwise nothing.. We just had the change to Daylight Savings time last night and I feel like that one hour made this day just FLY right by! At least it's still light out ;)

Ugh, I'm still at 38% of mine. These days I can't seem to concentrate on reading at all (and the fact the yesterday I "re-discovered" Skyrim isn't helping)... :( I hope that I'll be able to finish tomorrow, though. :)

I'm finishing up my book - I'm working now, but should be able to finish it tonight :) Sorry for the delay, there's been so many other things I'd rather read to be honest...

Don't apologize! There are times when I've got a book for a challenge and I kill myself to get through it and don't enjoy it at all. And that is so sad cause I love to read.

This book was OK.. It's quite hard for me to say exactly what "went wrong" as nothing really did. What I mean is that the idea was really great (I thought) and I can't put my finger on why the whole book didn't end up being as great as I had expected... But it was a fun read and a bit different from your normal books :)

I personally think you should read whichever one you would prefer :-) We can always use more points, but the point is for it to be fun, so I say just go with whichever you feel like :-)
I'm coming up a bit short on inspiration though, so it would be great if you would send both books to me. :-)

Ladies this past theme one was tough for me and I been sick with medicine head as well and only managed to read one book this past week and sadly if I use it, it will only give us 3 points for plot. (that would sux I know) :(

Oh, Jennifer, I'm sorry to hear that you've been unwell! Hope you're feeling a bit better now. I don't think there's a time limit, so if you still want to read the book at some point, I guess you could. Otherwise I say, don't worry too much about it :-) Don't think we're in the running for anything anyway :-)
