I haven't read this series for long time, but now im like why did i gave a break. It was amazing and intriguing as ever. In this book Harry is between summer and winter court and add to that some fallen ones. It's a recipe for a good book that you cant put down.

Review:
So I love the unique world Ms. Ivy has written about. There's a little bit of everything in these books. This one fell a little flat for me. This was Caine and Cassandra's story and the romance was a little lacking compared to the previous books. We finally have the showdown between good and evil so we get to see all of the characters in this one. Viper will always be my favorite and he had some good moments in this one. I'm curious now that the dark lord showdown has happened where the next book will go.

Jenne, Ezi, and Laura, Sam will be stepping in for Megan. You will need to pick a new team captain so someone can post your points. The way we will do your points for South Park and True Blood is by averaging your team scores for those 2 weeks. If you have any questions feel free to ask and give Sam a big welcome :)
Hi guys! :) I might have some questions about posting points and stuff once the next show is called, but I'll try not to be too annoying haha.

I just wanted to let the rest of the team know that Megan is still part of the team. I made a mistake and I apologize for that. Sam has been alerted and is okay with everything.

Loved this! Not my usual genre either but the characters were well hashed, couldn't help but like them. This also wasn't your usual time travel and I enjoyed every minute of it! I had a hard time putting this one down!

Really I enjoyed that one when I didn't think I would. You might like it too, the love story was great.
finding the lost isn't set in Kansas, so that took my reading choice away.I don't want to buy a new book and my library doesn't have the one you have
I think it was like 5 for the kindle version which wasnt bad. it annoys me when the ebook costs the same as a real book. Hmm I'll see if I can think of any other Kansas books. How can you tell if a kindle book is lendable? I've never tried doing it but I'm more than happy to if its possible and you're interested in it.
Jenne wrote: "Didn't Anita go to Kansas City in one book? Can't remember for sure but it sounds right..."I think I may re-read Burning Alive. I am supposed to read Finding the Lost at PKC in May, so re-read will give me a refresher. But I hate doing re-reads if I don't have to. All my other choices are not even worth more than 4-5 points
Dawn said if the book takes place in the location even for a small bit of the book it's ok. I'm assuming the sentinel wars would all have a little part in Kansas?
Jenne wrote: "Dawn said if the book takes place in the location even for a small bit of the book it's ok. I'm assuming the sentinel wars would all have a little part in Kansas?"If Finding the lost mentions Kansas, please let me know. My page one said "Omaha, Nebraska" and i haven't read the book to know if they do stop by Kansas at some point. I did a word search on my kindle and didn't find Kansas. I don't remember the city they were in from book 1. But I didn't find "Kansas" in word search
Jenne wrote: "I want to say Kansas City or Topeka?"Nope, no KC or Topeka, but Omaha all over the place. So this one is definitely set in Nebraska.
Jenne wrote: "What about Wichita?"Nope, no wichita. Tried searching that too. :(
Thank you for trying to get me there...I so appreciate it
Jenne, you are such a great teammate. thank you for trying. I think Burning alive would actually work, if I can get points for plot (law enforcement)
Week Seven - Gunsmoke
Book: Burning Alive by Shannon K. Butcher
Finished: 4/25/13
Rating & Review: ★★★ ½
This book had a band of warriors called the Sentinels, who were sworn to protect the human race. The books starts off at a great pace with Helen running away from Drake. Why? She had a dream of a guy watching her burn, and it was Drake. On the other hand, Drake recognized her as having a calming influence on his spirit, signaling that she was his mate. The rest of the story is action packed as Helen tries to run and Drake tries to protect her. I think the author was a little inconsistent with Helen’s character because she seemed observant but then at times she was oblivious to very clear things. Regardless, I liked her and I liked Drake. I am definitely going to continue this series.
Plot: Law-enforcement-ish (Sentinels are protectors) = 3 points

I'm still reading my book, it's really, really boring and slow :( I feel like i'll start crying before it ends :(
Question: does anyone remember the Page count required? I found a book but I am not sure it will make the page requirement.
Jenne wrote: "150 Ezi :)"Ok. then I am good, barely (LOL).
Another Question, my cover has a couple--i think a couple should be considered a family (do you think I would win such an argument?)
Is the couple married in the book? I'd say yes if they are if not I'm going to have to defer to Lizz and Dawn and see what they say. Also I want to check and see if you guys know that the setting is actually in Illinois not Indiana...I noticed in Post 236 you still have Indiana listed.

they are only lovers, not married. I'm okay with it not being a family as they are not married!
Thanks ladies
Jenne wrote: "Ezi that book doesn't take place in Indiana does it?."Nope. I am not going for setting points.
Week 8: Roseanne
Book: Black Dog and Rebel Rose by Danielle D. Smith
finished: 4/29
Rating & Review: ★★. I still didn't enjoy this book that much. The writing, the style, the plot, none of it was enjoyable at all. I am not even sure why this book is considered erotica. The sex wasn't hot or erotic to me. It was like, ummm, ok, next.
This book had a kick ass lady hunter named Rose, and a biker & demon hunter named Skriker (aka Black dog to his friends). They met while on a mission to rid a town of vampires and the sparks flew. I would like to say it was like good girl means bad ass boy, but Rose was actually a badass girl too.
Anyway, I have to be honest, I rarely like books where vampires are described as varmin. I can take it in Kate Daniels, because the writing is superb and the plot is very engaging. This book wasn’t that enjoyable the second time around either. I knew Rose would get with Black Dog, it was just a matter of time, though I had forgotten about her secret so that kept me going to the end of the book.
