Tommy Forsberg is a Norwegian author and the creator of SOLSTORM: The Sky Went Wrong, a grounded Nordic post-collapse series shaped by weather, distance, seamanship, and the struggle to rebuild after modern systems fail. The first book, Solstorm: The Sky Went Wrong, launched September 1, 2026.
Born on the coast of Northern Norway, he draws on a lifetime close to risk, practical knowledge, and life at sea. A sea captain and helicopter pilot, he writes fiction rooted in realism, resilience, and the moral questions that emerge when survival is no longer enough. His work is part of an independent creative partnership with Erin E. Forsberg, his first reader, sparring partner, and co-creative mind behind Solstorm

Solstorm: The Sky Went Wrong begins in a coastal world, where the sea is not scenery. It is route, danger, pantry, borde Read more of this blog post »

Quality and consistency. I kept producing the kinds of stories that *I* wanted to read. Word of mouth did the rest.

There is a lot of luck involved in breaking out big-time. But you increase your chances by writing captivating stories and packaging th See Hugh’s answer.
