Julia Maynard is the heroine of Courting Julia. Freddie Sullivan, hero of Dancing with Clara, was one of five men who had courted Julia, but he had done so in a dishonorable way. Clara's companion Harriet is the heroine of Tempting Harriet, and Freddie's friend the Duke of Tenby is the hero.
