Thx

I haven't read any books specifically about real estate investing. All About Asset Allocation mentions it, but I don't know how detailed it is on the subject. Robert T. Kiyosaki, author of the Rich Dad books, talks a lot about real estate, but it may be more about theory than specific guidance.
Was this book easy to follow for a beginner or do you need some background to stay up to speed with what the author is saying?

This book is one of my top 3 recommendations for beginners. If you run into anything you don't understand, google that word or phrase and you'll find an article that will quickly get you up to speed.
My other recommendations for beginning investors:
The Bogleheads' Guide to Investing (I think this is the best one to start with)
The New Coffeehouse Investor
Perfect review. I’m nearly finished with it myself. I read Rich Dad and followed it up with Think and Grow Rich. As a newbie to investing I chose this book as my first investment read as I was inspired to start collecting assets after reading the first two books mentioned. I looked at your ‘My Finance Shelf’. I thoroughly enjoyed Think and Grow Rich, could you recommend one or two books similar from your list?
