Hehehe ;) I do the same ;) Re-visiting "old" reviews, I always found some stuff to edit.
As I always say: Reviews are like Bonsai Trees... they aren't never truly finished ;)
"Politics are great in theory, it just takes a remarkably honest person to execute those ideas without being overwhelmed by power"
clap..clap..
What a marvellous politically non-correct piece of writing Florencia. I applaud your eloquence in depicting the controversial predicament of power being a corruptive force that has the potential to transform good intentions into abusive authority. Your last paragraph gave me the goosebumps and made me think of our dismal Spanish leaders and their empty promises. Potent voice, poignant writing and an Orwell I have to read, thanks for reminding me of that with one of your so much missed reviews! :)
Brilliant review, more so because it's not easy to say something potent about this book without resorting to cliches but trust Florencia to come up with a kickass commentary. Bravo!
Outstanding review.
And you may not even notice it, because that is the tricky thing about power, it blinds you and; at the same time, it makes you want to have more. -------- How true. Particularly when there is a cultural myth surrounding the power.
An insightful review, Florencia. I must have read this novella five or six times. It's the perfect book - I wish I'd written it.

Thank you for you recommendation, Yasiru. I will.

Thank you so much, Dolors. We're living a pitiful political and social situation in here, so I wrote this simple review with a mix of sadness and anger. It doesn't make the book any justice :P Hope you read it soon.

I know! I was afraid of that and I couldn't escape from a couple of cliches anyway, but well, I describe ideas with my own words so it wasn't intentional :P Thank you for your kind comment, as usual, Garima.

Thank you for your comment, Glenn. Yes, unfortunately, I see that everyday. It's a sad show with the fate of millions of people in its hands.

This book looks so innocent, and yet its content is so powerful and real. It will never get old (sadly). Thank you for reading this, Paul.
