How do you already have the book?!!!
I couldn't finish reading this review. I reached the word "bittersweet" and just had to stop because I had the most horrible flashback about Mockingjay and how I cried my heart out. I will come back when I've read Allegiant, meanwhile I WILL BRACE MYSELF ♥
Thank you for sharing. I just got my copy on my kindle, but I will probably need to wait to read it for some uninterrupted "me" time.
Guys...seriously? You know you harm the author when you pirate books, right? It won't kill you to wait a few days to pay for the book.

I've payed for the book. Actually, I've payed for the American boxset and a UK cover version of Allegiant because I wanted two copies of each book in the trilogy. I just chose to read the book earlier because it was available.
And what about people who don't have enought money to buy the book when it comes out or if it's not shipped to their country? (Like me!) I'm going to buy this book once it's translated anyway. I just loved it and hated it and cried and well, you know what I mean!
I couldn't agree with you more on this book! I was nervous as Mockingjay left me unsatisfied and I was nervous this might follow suit. So glad I was wrong!!! What an ending! Definitely my favorite completed series (with Horde, Champion, and Three coming soon) so far.

Gah, that ending. I won't even go on, my review expresses my emotions on that well enough.

Where are you from Gergana? Because thebookdepository do free almost worldwide shipping and if you managed to read it in English then perhaps you can just buy it in English?

You're welcome. :) I put a lot of effort into this one so it's nice to be appreciated.

I always wonder about that. Personally, I liked the ending of Mockingjay. It seemed more real in terms of how Katniss dealt with the situation. Ahhhhhhhhh. I'm so excited for Horde and Champion. I still have yet to read Article 5 because I'm so busy re-reading things in preparation for new books and movies and completing all the reading challenges I probably shouldn't have entered but I'll get to it eventually. I can't wait for Into The Still Blue as well.
The problem is more with the money then with the shipping. I live in Bulgaria and shipping to here costs more than the book I'm ordering. And I don't really have this much money anyway. Books in English are more expensive. Just yesterday I gave 15 euroes for a book. And thet's a lot in Bulgarien money. So I try to find books online.

I checked on thebookdepository and they offer free shipping to Bulgaria. It might be the best option for you. Here's a link to Allegiant in hardback. Or you could wait for the paperback which will be cheaper. I like to keep all my books of a series in one form and match the covers but you may not so hopefully the link will be helpful.
Abraham wrote: "The English paperback of allegiant is 7 dollars on Ebay. I don't know how much that is in Euros. Like 2?"
Hmm. I've never bought books on eBay. I might look into that too because god knows how much I spend on books these days.
Jennifer wrote: "Ahhh, just finished. I'm an emotional mess. Very disappointed in the ending!"
That's such a shame because I really liked the ending. I've added a link to Veronica's blog where she explains more in depth why she went for it. I won't say it will change your mind but it may appease you slightly.

Ah, ok. You're most welcome.

Aww. Thanks so much. I aim to please. :P
Thank you! I keep reading posts saying that the characters were flat or they weren't feeling invested in the story or the plot sucked and I just couldn't figure out if they had even read the same book!!

Well I guess the info-dumping may have thrown them off course for a bit and everything was so different in Allegiant. Perhaps if the whole genetics scenario had been introduced earlier, it would have maybe worked better and receive a better response so I can see where they are coming from. But thanks for the praise anywho! There do seem to be a lot of fans who are just reading for Fourtris and not the plot so maybe that explains the bad reception?
SPOILER ALERT****
I completely agree with you
The end broke my heart. I didn't start crying until Tobias's found out, because I was in shock and did not believe Tris was really dead. I understand that Veronica Roth had this motive since she first wrote it. I have respect for her determination and the series is incredible. I just feel as though, I was routing for Tris and Tobias since the beginning their love story so rare and eternal. Before Tris dies and the night she spent with Tobias broke my heart looking back at it because she explains how maybe they could start a life together, find a place in this world they can create a safety for them to be in love. The second thing that made me the most upset was when Tobias finds out she is dead and he describes the moment that Tris jumped onto the net in the Dauntless compound for the first time. He noticed that she was a stiff and he had seen her before but he never truly took note of her until that moment and he recognized that she was "beautiful" in his eyes. It hurt me because I thought they would be each others other half forever. Roth explains that Tris's death was to show her importance and her bravery and sacrifice, I understand this and respect it because Beatrice did deserve a respectable and brave ending one that could be left in admiration of her. I just can't help but contemplate would have happened if her life wasn't taken, and maybe I wouldn't have a pain in my heart for the rare love that the characters share and see their future despite the actual ending. Besides that vision of another ending Roth's series of Divergent is spontaneous and heartbreakingly taught me many lessons of bravery, sacrifice, love, honesty, power and all other natures of humanity and honestly I think it taught something of myself that one day I want to be loved and love others despite everything and it taught me that I need to be determined if I want to be kind, pure and important to this life.
No, you're wrong, Tris died for nothing. Ms Roth spent far too much time trying to kill off Tris that she didn't stop to think: 1) Is it necessary, 2) Is she dying for someone who deserves it, 3) Will this death accomplish anything? The answer to all three is: no. Think about how Dumbledore was killed off in Harry Potter, Prim dying in Mockingjay, All those deaths made sense and worked well for the series. This death was a complete waste and the person responsible didn't get punished for it at all. Everyone we cared about retaining their memories in Chicago were inoculated and the memory wipe would've just brought peace to an already volitile situation. I believe the fighting would've continued regardless of what happened to Evelyn and the Alliegant, they still hated each other and another person would've stepped up to lead the Factionless and the Alliegant.
Thank you so much for this review!!!! Allegiant is my favourite book, and everyone keeps saying stuff about this book that blows my mind, I’m glad that at least some people appreciate it!!!
SPOILER ALERT
I think it was totally the right decision that Roth made to have Tris sacrifice herself for Caleb (even though it turned me into an emotional wreck) because she is the kind of person who would. Looking back, I’m surprised I didn’t realise it from the beginning to be honest. Her death spoke volumes, the same as Uriah’s, because they both had meaning behind them:
Tris’s showed that sometimes things are bigger than you are, and Uriah’s showed that deaths don’t have to be heroic for them to matter. Also, even though I think Tris and Tobias deserved a happy ending, I think it would have been unrealistic if they did and I wish more books got rid of their everyone-important-survives-a-war-and-lives-happy-ever-after endings. They just aren’t real! I related to this so much more than other books.
I’m super happy that other people love Allegiant like I do!

I agree with how you feel about the ending, but I feel like tris & Tobias deserved a happy ending. Tris survives death serum which no one has ever done before yet is killed by bullets. On top of that David memory is wiped & he just goes on his way. I felt so awful for Tobias. I read the end of the book twice. I honestly am not over it. I just can't it's too much. I cried so much yet I still love the series & will watch the movies. I just wish tris lived. I didn't think she would die after she finally decided she wanted to live & be with Tobias. Not fair
