Well, I wish Goodreads allowed for partial stars, because this was definitely in the middle between three and four. But you make a good point. I think a four/five star book has to teach me something, or make me see something I already knew in a drastically new way. I didn't learn anything from the trilogy...although I enjoyed it.
The Road, for example, got four stars...still my favorite book of his. Blood Meridian was also better.
