Oh I'm yet to buy it. It's pretty expensive here too, but this is where I want to start reading this guy.

Thanks for the link. I had no idea about Vollmann at all. It was only recently I got to know that Nathan's profile pic is that of Vollmann, haha! I'll read that interview, thanks again.
Thanks to Geoff, yes! It was his review that made me interested in Vollmann. And go ahead with £15 copy, it's almost priced the same here too.
I got my hardcover first edition of The Ice-Shirt for something like under a dollar plus a few bucks shipping. God Bless The USA and Our Non-Reading Population, So That Amazon US Is Flooded With Cheap, Lovely Editions of Amazing Books! Sometimes some of us benefit from the general climate of ignorance here.

I raise a glass to that.

Me Jealous now! Unfortunately I have to pay some $25 for the new paperback edition :(

It's okay Garima, I'm about to shell out around 45 bucks for Khodasevich's biography of Derzhavin. We all feel the pinch once in awhile when books are hard to come by.

True true! We gotta read what we gotta read.

What a great find. Good stuff.

Wow Emma! From £50 to £1 is one helluva great result.

Haha! I'm definitely being overambitious here but I'm planning to go slowly with Vollmann plus I wanted to read him before year end so thought it's wise(?) to include hum in my current reads.
Overambitious smoverambitious. Time waits for no reader! Also, there's the interesting contrast between the two. Who knows where that will lead, but it'll likely be somewhere wonderfully weird.
This is another Garima review that I'm looking forward to. I've had this one on the ole TBR for quite a while now.
I'm going real slow with this one, Trav. It's something completely new to me theme wise but writing is pretty accessible so hopefully I'll get through this one and share my views with you.
However, I’ll continue my journey towards the next dream or Europe Central; or to meet The Royal Family.
That is an excellent choice.
