Casey Donnelly I like how you related the story of the first time you heard this book. I don't like books where people die but you made it sound interesting.

message 2: by Brit (new)

Brit Corm best shortest review I've ever read :(

message 3: by Eunyoung (new)

Eunyoung Oh no! I wish you had mentioned that your review had a spoiler! I didn't know that one of the characters ends up dying! After reading your review, the only thing I could think of was that either Jess or Leslie was going to die and I could think of nothing else. Bummer. Still a really wonderful, touching book.

message 4: by Kyusik (new)

Kyusik Chung I will not admit to tearing up at the end of the book, but I will not claim I didn't either. Loved the book as a kid.

You kind of just did. ;)

*passes the tissues*

I've read this book several times, and cry every time.

Shilpa Awwwwww!

message 7: by Evan (new)

Evan I love this book so much it gets pretty sad towards the end but it's still awesome I'm reading it at school in my book club and I almost shed a tear

message 8: by Portia Dai (new)

Portia Dai Great book, but not my type ^w^

message 9: by Lillian (new)

Lillian Fonseca That book brought tears to my eyes

message 10: by Dennis (new)

Dennis After watching the movie in March 2017 I was reading some reviews here on goodreads.
Your review ended up being one of the main inspirations for my first short story.
That’s a pretty cool thing, I think.
So, thank you for sharing your memories.

message 11: by Aubrey Franco (new)

Aubrey Franco I read this book and it was good but your review is not that good u should not be spoiling it for others and make it bigger

message 12: by Ami (new)

Ami Salinas SPOILER ALERT PLEASE

message 13: by Theja shree (new)

Theja shree Why did you comment without adding the spoiler alert box. I read your comment and I feel like I know the story and I'm in no mood to read this book just because of your comment.

message 14: by Daisy (new)

Daisy I also read this book in fifth grade with the rest of my class...

I also cried 🤧😖

message 15: by Celia (new)

Celia I did not cry reading at age 11.
But I'll probably cry rereading it now.

message 16: by Daisy (new)

Daisy Yeah, well I just reread a book from when I was little and it was SO intense with other hidden messages. And when I was little I just didnt see it as THAT intense so I totally agree, that's why i love rereading, so I can catch the emotions and meanings
