Sara Thank goodness! *sigh* I thought I was the only one. I am about 50% into it and it does not have the same feel to it that Thoughtless/Effortless did. I can still see scenes from those books but the only thing I can visualize with this is the venues they play in Southern California because I have been to them. Ugh.

This book was really weak comparing to previous books. It took me a lot of determination to finish it, probably I had too high expectations but it really did not work for me as I hoped it would...

message 3: by Liz (new)

Liz I am at 60% or something like that, and it has been such a drag for me... You are not the only one Sara

Thank you Brenna! I did not love it but I don't regret reading it. But Griffin was perfect, wasn't he? :)

I was so conflicted when I finished it! I was ranting to AJ through voice messaging! LOL! But I still loved it, maybe because of the previous attachment to the characters. I still don't think this book was needed though... But it was all worth it for Griffin! OH YES! I loved him in this! Crude yet sweet was a winning combination for him! :)

Definitely not, I'm at 87% and struggling. It is forced and dragged out. I also felt like it should have ended w/ book 2. I am lol bc I was discussing Denny's relationship w/ Kiera and Kellan and said the same thing u did. It's not realistic. Hey, it's great they can be friends but not to that extent, IMO! I think theres going to be an ordered hit on me after I'm finished with my review. I'm sure Kellan fans are not going to like my review. I think our review will be similar bc I 100% agree with your review. Great job!

Thanks Emilia :) I was worried I would be crucified by Kellan fans too since this book kind of made me like him less... And when it comes to Danny, definitely unbelievable, after everything that has happend it is very hard to believe that he would have such a perfect relationship with Kiera and Kellan... Looking forward to your review :)

Debra Great review, Lucia!! Love your casting :-)

message 16: by Nadine (new)

Nadine ShelfLove I like ur review Lucia, and I've to admit I even felt that way after finishing book 1- the first book made to me a perfect cut and I didn't even feel the need to read book 2; just because I didn't want to ruin my opinion about this book ;)
Sometimes author ruin a book series if they try to continue and to continue...

message 17: by Traceys (new)

Traceys I thought it was just me, I was having a hard time at home while reading it and put my not getting into it as much as others down to that!! I gave it 4 stars, still loved Kellan but he was to puppy dog in it, Keira accepted too much - my 4 stars were for griffin who stole the story for me :)

Thanks Nadine! I enjoyed first 2 books, they made very exciting read for me. But this one was unnecessary and it kind of ruined my experience if you know what I mean...

I am glad there are more people feeling the same way as I do about this book. And you are right, Griffin was awesome :)

message 21: by Christie (new)

Christie Oh boy, for some reason i was already feeling skeptical about this one because I felt there story should be over after book 2. But u and I usually have the some opinions :) so looks like ill be sticking this on the back burner for a bit:/

Well, it may be just me and my high expectations... But for me, story was really dragging and I could not enjoy it as I hoped I would.

message 23: by Autumn (new)

Autumn Doughton Oh no! I thought that the series should have ended with book 2 and I've been a little hesitant about getting into this one for the exact same reason, but I just downloaded. Well, here's to loving Kellan Kyle even if this book isn't my fave in the series. Great review!

Thank you Autumn, I just tried to be honest and fair.

message 25: by Say (new)

Say I had the same feeling about this, that it should have ended in book 2.

message 26: by Purva (new)

Purva Great review! Couldn't agree more, Lucia! There was no need for book 3 or even book 2 for that matter :D I doubt i'll ever read this one.

It was not that bad, it just did not work for me as previous books in series did.
And thank you Sonia :)

message 28: by Keighley (new)

Keighley couldnt have said it better, this book was unnecccesary if not unwelcome!!I expected to devour it in one sitting as I did first two, took me almost a week to finish! I was so dissapointed by the first half, waiting for the Awesome' to arrive. The full thing felt pretty unrealistic, and Kiera had overshot 'likeable' straight into ittitatingly saintly. But I decided at half way to lower my expectations and just enjoy the sweet moments, and the hilarity provided by Griffin. Definately a lesson to be learned about when to leave your charcters to enjoy their HEA & how too much hype can ruin a book!

Nicely said Keighley, Kiera's change was welcomed but drastic and this book was overall unnecessary. God bless Griffin and his funny parts in this book :)

message 30: by Hail (new)

Hail I love Kellan - he's my favorite, but this book was not. I was disappointed. Agree with all your points. :( Maybe it should have ended with Effortless. Sometimes less is more...

message 31: by Lucia (new)

Lucia Hail, I love Kellan too but to be honest I did not liked him that much in this book... And you are right, less is sometimes more, especially in this case

It happens, but even though I love this author and writing was good, it would not be fair to give this book more than 3 stars since it was really repetitive and over the top

For a moment I thought I had to sleep with one eye open bc I gave it 3.5 stars...lol I agree, the writing was good but not great. I just think there was so much hype for this book but didnt live up to my expectations. I like the route she took for Keira( though sometimes she was a lil too passive for my taste) I didn't like what she did with Kellan. He became boring IMO...sorry

Wish the feeling I had with Thoughtless was the same for Reckless....but there was nothing stellar about it. Hate to say this but Kellan was boring here. Without Griffin I wouldn't have finished this one.

message 36: by Tasneem (new)

Tasneem Yes,I agree with you totally, should've ended with Effortless!

message 37: by Lucia (new)

Lucia Taznim wrote: "Yes,I agree with you totally, should've ended with Effortless!"

Yeah, it should. This was just unnecessary prolonging of story...

Exactly! Kellan was boring in this book and if not for Griffin, I would probably rate it even lower...

message 39: by Anita (new)

Anita Great review, I struggled a lot with this book, wanted to like it and started to dislike Kellan, I agree with you that the series should have ended with Effortless.
