I'm thinking of reading this one soon! Can't wait to see what you think of it!
So far, so good, Kay.
Valente writes a lot of imagery, so you can't take it literally per se. It's more about experiencing her imagination than looking for a super coherent story. I like it a lot.
Wonderful review, Danielle!
The child in me who never grew up, who loves fairy tales, lands of magic, mythical creatures, and folklore, ate up this story like the most scrumptious dessert.
Don't you just LOVE books that can do this for you?
