Are you reading this for book club? For real?
Um, that is awesome. I can't wait to hear your review of this book. I know I only gave it four stars, but after having had time to let these ideas sit and simmer in my brain, I can honestly say this is one of the most influential books I've ever read in my life.
I liked your review, Liz, and I really want to hear how this book club meeting went! I also want to keep talking about it because now that the idea-seeds are in your head, I promise you will become ever-more-attuned to just how dominant these modes of representation are in our society. For evidence, start with Carls Jr and youtube. Or don't, if you want to keep your lunch down.
