Oh, wow I didn't realize not liking a book meant that a person is automatically gay. Thank-you so much for using your completely insensible thought-process to come up with this ridiculous conclusion. She doesn't like it, get over it. In fact if you bother to read any of the other comments on this review you'll find many other people, including myself, agrees that this is a horrid book. But I guess no one can have a different opinion than you, right? Great way to go through life there...

Nakeisha Tavaao WHAT?!?! Personally, Twilight has been one of the best book series I have. But I have to admit that her style of writing isn't my favourite. But the story and the unconditionally love Bella and Edward share is UNREAL . . . Legit, maybe that's why it was SO popular. I love being sucked into a world were the true love is UNBREAKABLE, when you can escape! I loved Twilight, though it was interesting - and heart breaking in a way! - to hear your review

Raji Ayinla Its amazing how blind passion can make someone blind to glaring faults. Edward's Mr. Perfect image captured a lot of tween hearts.

message 304: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Brown I read all of them to prove that they are in fact garbage. The books are so bad. I mean I tried to even give the plot some credit but after I finished I just want it all erased from my mind. I truly hate all Twilight books movies and the like.

message 305: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Brown Oh God if I have to see anyone compare this to Harry Potter I'll scream. 2 entirely different series especially in that Harry Potter is amazing and this is pig slop

I'm actually dividing that into lines of a poem:

if you hate this book get lost
'cause it's awesome you're gay

That reads a little less ignorant and nasty, hm?

I do actually identify as a queer woman, so like, I am, like, ohmigod, in fact a LITTLE BIT GAY. And I AM pretty awesome. ;) It's not an insult, so stop slinging it like one. Comments edging on hatespeech like that don't belong here. Deleted.

Okay, kids, back to your rumbling. Grandma's going back to her rocking chair. xo

Taiwo | A Lifestyle Nerd This review is so true. I never liked it and I started it when I was in high school. I didn't finish because I was so disgusted.

Brooklyn Halbur Wow your super rude what if the author reads that. So now you just going to be rude about it and read the other books just for the fun of it. Maybe some times you sbould at least some of your comments to yourself. Oh and by the way Im 10 and Im saying this.

message 313: by Brooklyn Halbur (new)

Brooklyn Halbur Hey Vivian why don't you keep your comments to yourself.

girl i literally wrote this review before you were born

Brooklyn Halbur how could you be so selfish.

Jennifer (DigiWrit) I'm STRUGGLING through this, more because, as a learning writer, I wanted to know what girls found so charming about Edward. I'm not seeing it, seriously.

I think Meyer was trying to force her vampires into the mold of dark fey: beautiful, seductive and... sparkly? I haven't gotten to the flowery breath or the sparkles, but the thought of that just makes me cringe. Vampires don't sparkle or have sweet breath. They are accursed creatures of darkness, dangerous and seductive because of their alliance to the demonic powers. Even a vampire that rues their existence and the curse that binds them would still be subject to all the evils of their kind. Every vampiric legend--even the comical ones--agrees on these points: vampires can't walk in the sun, must feed on blood to live, can typically be killed by sunlight or a stake to the heart, and are fatally unpredictable. Even Wesley Snipes' half-blood vampire character, Blade was subject to these rules, able to walk in the sun due to his human half. He didn't want to drink blood, so he took shots of a blood-like substance to live.

Meyer clearly wanted to soften vampires to make this romance appealing, but there's nothing romantic about being a vampire. True vampiric lore means living in darkness, thirsting for blood, threatening the lives of mortals you may come to love and having to live this way for centuries. Not sexy, not romantic. This series blows.

message 320: by Chloe (new)

Chloe This is exactly what I was thinking lmao I don’t get how ppl like this book

message 321: by Gil (new)

Gil Ramsen You've got some valid points there that I may agree on. Nevertheless, I find the story entertaining, which is exactly why I read it in the first place until the last page of Breaking Dawn. Even watched the movie adaptations. Watched them a few times! LOL. Just glad to get other perspectives like this.

message 322: by Lucie (new)

Lucie Freya Your review is what is insufferable. They are teenagers! Yes they are occasionally selfish and so what. They are young and inexperienced. Bella and Edward's love is passion. It is obvious you skimmed the books if even that.

message 323: by Robin (new)

Robin Wow, all the comments by the people who love this book series are ridiculous. Look, she has every right to her own opinions and she gave valid reasons for her opinion. Some of you really need to calm down. Not everyone is going to like the same things. And that should be okay. This is also a random person on the internet, it’s not like she’s torturing you guys in real life. Get a grip. As far as your review, I totally agree. I used to be obsessed with the series to the point that I read fan fiction about it. Now I hate it too.

MTE!!
I am always baffled at how personal these kind of fangirls/fanboys take a negative review. :D

Lucy Lennon What it's an amazing book

message 327: by Lucy (new)

Lucy THE TWILIGHT SERIES ARE MY FAV BOOKS. NO NEED TO HATE SO HARD.

message 328: by Ester (new)

Ester Lehman Another thing… there’s a 92 year age gap… is that not even a little creepy to y’all?

message 329: by Ravay (new)

Ravay OMG THIS THREAD IS SO HILARIOUS!!! Thank you for your wonderful review and your brilliant responses to the comments!!

message 330: by Echidna (new)

Echidna I don't have any intention of ever reading Twilight, but I eat these reviews up, they're so funny!!!

message 331: by Luca (new)

Luca Bianchini I totally get where you’re coming from — the writing and the dynamics between Edward and Bella can be really frustrating. I actually felt the same way about their relationship; it always came across as more toxic than romantic. But I agree with you — the vampire lore and side characters like Carlisle and Alice were the real gems! I wish the story had focused more on them and less on the glittery drama.

message 332: by Lucy (new)

Lucy Bess Ive been trying to say that exact thing for so long but didnt know how to

message 333: by Jacklyn (new)
