This sounds very interesting. I read My Father's Paradise: A Son's Search for His Jewish Past in Kurdish Iraq about one of the last speakers of Aramaic. One of his jobs is advising Hollywood directors on the correct wording and accent in Biblical films.
Ooh! Another book to add to my tbr shelf. For every one I read, I seem to add two.
