Have you read Bel Canto Temple? It was my first Patchett read and remains my favourite.
I must read Ann Patchett soon given how much I have heard friends praising Bel Canto.
I've never read Ann Patchett, but she gets consistent raves from my most trusted reading friends. So Ann Patchett, you and me in 2015, big time, if not before.

Bel Canto is my favourite Samadrita. That said I have liked the other 3 books of hers that I have read.
