Hear him interviewed on radio -- Fresh Air? -- and he sounded like a wonderful raconteur. Sorry to hear the book doesn't quite measure up.
Sorry I missed that episode! I wouldn't advise against reading it. Other biblionuts have loved it.
The name dropping element is not very enticing to me, and it seems to be the good part? I wanted to read about reading! Not about the people who make the books I read. ;)
Some books but not as many as I would have liked. Plus most of the books mentioned are ones we're already familiar with. Still, you might enjoy.
