One of my favorite stories from childhood and one that still has a great deal to say to us today. How often now do we see people following the piper (oops another story) down the most foolish road because they are afraid to say "the emperor has no clothes"? Maybe we should make this mandatory reading for everyone.

I'm probably more given to using analogies than a chap should be, and find myself using the story's key metaphor a little too often in respect of what I see as people's collective denial.
A fabulous story that everyone should read at least once in their lifetime.
