This is an underrated book. My sister recommended it years ago. I read it immediately and was wonderfully surprised by the depth of Montgomery's writing. Yes, Montgomery is really worth reading!

Just like any other female author unfortunately. Think about the way Jane Austen and the Brontës are still generally regarded, even though the criticism to the society they lived in was pretty explicit. It bothers me so much!
