Luke Taylor I just liked this. I didn't read it. I don't want to know anything about it. I just want to read it. #patience

SO HAPPY FOR YOU, MIKEE!!! :D

I just realized the page says "Death Blooms"; Mikee, you're KILLING me here. XD

Mikee (ReadWithMikee) @Pranta Heehee more people will be reading it soon because so many book events are happening and Amie and Jay are giving away Gemina ARCs on their book tour! :D

Mikee (ReadWithMikee) @Luke Aha there are no spoilers except for what we already know in the synopsis in this review but what you say is definitely understandable! XD

Mikee (ReadWithMikee) @Mikaela Lol that's from Illuminae! One of my favorite pages in the whole book. ;P

message 8: by Nastassja (new)

Nastassja Oh, I was so worried about not liking new characters, but it seems they are totally okay and we'll find a common ground with them :D

Oh, okay! XD That had me completely worried for a moment.

Mikee (ReadWithMikee) @Nastassja These new characters are fun! I was hesitant about them when I first found out that Kady and Ezra weren't going to be the main focus of the second book but they did not disappoint.

Mikee (ReadWithMikee) @Mikaela Don't worry! I don't want to spoil anybody! :P

Minni Mouse I just want to say that your photos are always so lovely. I think my favorite was The Winner's Kiss one with the text/papers in the background.

message 13: by Puput (new)

Puput Hello, I just started following you :) anywayyy I'm so jealous that you had the chance to read Gemina long before it's officially released! :( I can't waitttt to devour this one since Illuminae is one of my favorite reads ever!!

message 14: by Kris (new)

Kris Mauna Wait, there are different main characters?!

Mikee (ReadWithMikee) @Minni Mouse Aha thank you again so much! <3

Mikee (ReadWithMikee) @Puput I normally don't get the chance since I never get approved for arcs but thank god for YallWest! I got lucky with this one. You won't be disappointed with this one! :)

Mikee (ReadWithMikee) @Kristy Yeah! Kinda like with the These Broken Stars series by Amie Kaufman! Different main characters in every book.

Oh okay! I have no idea how I missed that! If you didn't mind the new characters though, I'm sure I'll enjoy them also! :)

Chelsea SWATCHSEA Is it necesarry to re-read Illuminae before starting Gemina?

Mikee (ReadWithMikee) @Chelsea If you remember Illuminae pretty good then I don't think so. But I think it wouldn't hurt to give it a reread to refresh your memory. But if not, it's okay because most of the story is set in a different ship.

Thank you for letting me know! I read Illuminae in January, but for some reason, I forget very easily what happens in books! I'm not sure whether I will be able to re-read it in time, but I appreciate your answer :)

message 22: by Rawan (new)

Rawan Thanks for the review! Can I read this book without reading Illuminae first?

Mikee (ReadWithMikee) @Rawan I would definitely recommend reading Illuminae first! It's a must because Gemina is, in fact, the sequel to the first book even if it centers around two different main characters. The stories are still connected! :)

message 24: by Jeffrey (new)

Jeffrey I mostly agree, but I disagree about the creepy space worms. Their ew factor was awesome. Never knew which air vent they'd pop out of next.
