in this book if you think about it she would have never gotten her child if it wasnt for having sex with Brendon. but i think that she had to have changed afyer all this especailly because she knows that her child isnt the demon that Brendon is. and say she had gone with chase or Chase didnt go how far do you thik her life could have gone not every far is you asked me. but i still believe that this book was amazing.
This was a good short summary. I do think her parents could have done more about Kristina using drugs and even about her and all of the boys she had been around. When Kristina explained why she stopped seeing Brendan her mom seemed unaffected by it but when Chase comes along she has a problem. Kristina's parents could've looked more in depth about her using drugs and ways to help her stop. Once Bree come in and the use of "the monster" become more of a regular thing you definitely know nothing spectacular is going to happen and that things are more likely to go downhill the more she uses the drug.
This book has quickly become a favorite for me. I enjoyed the story. The idea of a good girl gone bad was taken to a whole new level.
Crank was a novel about our main character Kristina and her other personality Bree. Kristina is known to be quiet and a good girl. But when she went to visit her father that all changed. A new side of her, Bree, came out. While visiting her less than perfect father, she met a guy that ended up becoming the cause of her issues. She begins to fall in love with this guy because a relationship is something she's never experienced. Although he has brought a lot of problems and bad habits her way she doesn't realzie it and begins to go with the flow. She begins smoking weed and cigarettes, and eventually gravitates towards crank.
The book does a great job of explaining the details of not only how Bree feels when she takes over but how Kristina feels. the book goes into great detail of how crank is slowly taking over her life. She first began thinking that once she got home it would be nothing because she wouldn't know where to find it and she could kick the habit. Although that wasn't exactly what happened. She was doing well after returning home, but she did have a relapse and ended up finding what she wanted. Of course finding it meant she found a new guy and a new experience. Brendan who was less than favorable. And Brendan eventually led to Chase. Which in my opinion was a sad story within itself. She was raped by Brendan and Chase stood by her side when an unexpected child was produced.
Although the story was a sad one it was eye opening and reinforcing that old "stay away from drugs" routine. Because Kristina was never supposed to end up a drugy mother. She was a good student who had a plan and a future. One bad mistake brought her world coming down and honestly, she stood there and watched it.

My first book by Hopkins was Identical which is almost about "the other half."
