Exactly! There's that one in the 1100s and then Sister Fidelma in the 700s. I'm seriously toying with the idea of writing a Norman Conquest mystery series, so I'm asking to see if anybody knows of any obscure or older series set in that period already out there. (I'm guessing: no. )
I think that is a good idea. I would like to read it. I just remembered one series that is set around 970, during Viking times. It’s by Snorri Kristjánsson, but I don’t think it’s set in Britain. The first book is called Kin.
Just looked up "Kin"...no, that's Iceland, but it looks really cool! (And available in German! Goes on my rec list. Thank you!)
