Mary Herceg I recommend the Adventures in the Northwoods series by Lois Walfrid Johnson (#1 - The Disappearing Stranger). Sweet historical series set in Wisconsin c. 1900. I loved these books as a young teenager, and I think you'd like them!

Mary Herceg Also, I saw one I haven't read yet but that looked good that Hannah Gridley recommended to someone. It was a sweet, old children's book about the pioneer journey to Oregon. The title was On to Oregon! by Willsie Morrow

Mary Herceg I can't believe you've read 40 already!! Good job!

Karis Thanks, Mary! I'll definitely check those out. :) And, yes, it's a little hard for me to believe too. A couple of the books have had more than one state as the setting, which for sure helped, but it's been a challenge to find books I like that are set in each state. I've not finished reading ones for 3 different states because I didn't enjoy the book.

Shannon McDermott I think "Little House in the Big Woods" is set in Wisconsin ...

Karis Wow! It's been forever since I read those. :) I have such sweet memories of those; I'd love to re-read them. Thanks for the recommendation, Shannon!
