I can only think of Beyond the Sea by Keira Andrews, but I see you've already read that... Hmm.. let me think some more.

Kick at the Darkness is similar, but different ! Post apocalypse leaves a werewolf shifter and a regular guy alone to fight zombies and a few bad guys as they cross the country to find the guy's folks on the east coast. I've read the two books. Very well done by Kiera Andrews.

Ooh, I do have a rec actually. Wireless by L.A. Witt. It's a really good sci fi romance, where the MCs are isolated by their desires. Don't want to give too much away and it's not like they're stranded like on an island per se, but I really enjoyed it.
