message 1: by Rosa (new)

Rosa Strong as in distinctive, well-defined characters, or personally strong?

Siddhartha Srivastava Despite Love: very good book with really strong female characters

Shine Sebastian Thanks Siddhartha. I added it to my shelf, will check it out.

message 4: by Mary Beth (new)

Mary Beth Katie Burkholder series by Linda Castillo, DCI Erika Foster by Robert Bryndza, also China Lake which is a series can't remember the name of the series by Meg Gardiner. These series are just fantastic!

message 5: by Bart (new)

Bart Van Loon if it can be non-fiction, I can recommend The Country Under My Skin: A Memoir of Love and War (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...), the autobiography of Gioconda Belli, a really strong woman

Shine Sebastian Thanks Bart!
Non-fiction is alright . :)
Added to my list.

message 7: by Kamran (new)

Kamran Go for The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah...
Although almost all of Kristin Hannah works are 'female-centric', this one is best.
