You might want to use a spoiler tag for parts of this request. In case you are unfamiliar with them simply remove the * from the tags below and put the text you would like hidden in between them:

<*spoiler>text that reveals a suicide attempt in a books someone hasn't read yet<*/spoiler>. That way people can make a choice whether or not they would like the information revealed in advance of reading the books.

Raven137 Thank you, I didn't know how to do that. It dosent seem to be working? Or can I not see the results?

You're welcome. I was really glad to learn about them. That's really weird. Your tags look right, but aren't working on my phone. I will take a better look when I get home and can see them on the bigger screen on my desktop.

Okay . . . weird. I just copied and pasted the stuff in your request starting with the opening spoiler tag and ending with the closing one into the comments above and, as you should be able to see, it worked. However, I then went and copied it into a test recommendations request and it did NOT work. It would appear that it does not function in recommendations requests.

I'm going to report this to Goodreads because I think that tag should be available anywhere.

I'm definitely reporting it. I just verified that other tags do work in requests.

Raven137 weird.

GR replied back to me this morning. For whatever reasons may be, they don't support that tag in the recommendations request field even though it is available in other areas. C'est la vie.

Raven137 Okay, Thanks :)
