Depending on what dystopian's you've read already, I'd recommend books like Divergent and The Hunger Games. I've heard Matched is pretty good, too, but I haven't gotten the chance to read it yet. I don't know if you've read Percy Jackson, which isn't a dystopia, but the main female character, Annabeth, is a really strong individual, who is, by far, my favorite fictional character of all time. Besides Augustus Waters. :)
