Do not read The Road if you want something easier.

I have read the book thief and the help. In my opinion, the help is more straight forward and an easier read. But the best way to decide for yourself is to read them all and then chose which one you want to your summative on.

I'd go with Ashleigh. I've read the Book Thief and it's quite complicated. There's many things going on. I would go with The Help.
