haha Oh good! I loved the way the culture was described and set up. It made for a very dynamic world, and felt very real.
I loved the apartment complex that the main family lived in. I liked the history of how it became a ghetto instead of the haven it was supposed to be for the magicked families. It inspired a miniseries I'm working on.

The mini series is about two cultures: The Versifs and the Thamyrins.
The Versifs were a nomadic gypsy group, whose culture is entirely based on music.
The Thamyrins are city dwellers, and their culture is based on technology and industrialism.

At the point of the first story, the Thamyrins have confined the Versifs to Hollows: walled off ghettos within the Thamyr cities. and the stories are about the various people, from both cultures, and how they figure out life and overcome racism and prejudice.
