Hi Kurt, thanks for the reccomendation! I've already had to read this book for my course work (MA in First Nations history), but I will check out the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich for sure. I end up reading so much WWII fiction with little context, so it will surely be enlightening.
Rise & Fall was written over 50 years ago but still considered the definitave book about that theatre of operations...TEAM OF RIVALS by Doris Kearns Goodwin is also fabulous...a lighter take on history can be found int he books of Sarah Vowell...PARTLY CLOUDY PATRIOT, THE WORDY SHIPMATES, ASSASINATION VACATION....
