Thanks! I added it! I'm definitely looking for Charlemagne, but I didn't want to pidgeon hole anyone's suggestions by mentioning him specifically. I have one novel about him, The King's Nun, but I'm not sure exactly how good it looks.

Your welcome!Books on that time look pretty limited.But if you hit Charlemagne in the search bar on this site you might get a few novels about him as well as biographies.I have a few sites that I go on that might have some suggestions about this time period if I find anything at all I'll message you.I know how difficult it is to try and find info on people who have lived such a long time ago and there's virtually nothing about them.It's frustrating.The Merovingian kings sound fascinating though.They were called the long haired kings because all the kings had long hair.I'll check around for you and see what I can come up with.
