“You can see their horns? You can see them right now?”
Tommy nodded and wondered if it was bad etiquette to talk about it. “Yes, sir. When I look out of my peripheral vision I see horns coming out from their heads. Not very clearly. Sort of like transparent horn images. I can see both kinds. The shorter kind that curve back and the longer kind that come out from the sides.”
Maximus stared with a perplexed intensity at Tommy. “You can see the horns.” It was more of a statement. Maximus quickly followed with a question. “You see short horns on Andy and Billy and long horns on me, correct?”
Maximus’s question reassured Tommy that he wasn’t the only one who could see these apparitions. Tommy smiled, thankful he wasn’t going crazy. “Yes, sir. The short ones mean someone is a slave and the long ones mean he is a master, right?”
Maximus nodded slowly. “That is correct.”
“You told me when we first met that I would have gaydar for dominant and submissive men. It works really well.”
“I did say that,” Maximus conceded as he sat back in his chair.”
