“Fire!” the gnoll commander said. The unified clatch-zip sound sent deadly missiles hurtling toward Nath’s body. The bolts bounced off his chest and broke. He caught one well-aimed bolt between his teeth. Eying the soldiers, he took the bolt from his mouth and said, “You should be reloading, not gaping. Not that it will do you any good.”
