“Being around Rob was great for all of us. It was a constant celebration. But it brought out some insecurities in me. Watching Rob spring onto the stage with virtually no rehearsal, having just put out his last fag, and then proceeding to slay the audience, was, frankly, annoying.
That's not me. We are both performers to our bones but our approach to getting a great performance could not be more different. I'll do six weeks of rehearsals. I'll know what I'm singing and where I'm standing for every moment of the show. I depend on preparation. Rob just rocks on there. You can't help but feel like he's better.
On that tour, it was absolutely inevitable that I would end up competitive dieting with Robbie.
