Edgar Cañizales
Edgar Cañizales asked Vladimir Kameñar:

Your book mentions that there is an XM file which is just 905 bytes. Where can I get this file? Is it the smallest XM file ever?

Vladimir Kameñar That is «mini.xm» by ReSampled, a famous Russian music producer. The file is included into the freeware uFMOD delivery: https://ufmod.sourceforge.io/
The VB6 example has this file. The uncompressed file size is 905 bytes in "stripped XM" file format. You can convert it to standard XM file format using the xmstrip tool, which is included into the same delivery. Just load the file, select "stick to standard", and then click "Go!" to overwrite the file. The file size in standard XM file format is 1162 bytes.
More information about this track in Russian here (the author has published a remix in 2020): https://promodj.com/synthwave/blog/11...
This is the smallest composition in XM format I have ever seen. Maybe the smallest XM file can be an empty song, without any patterns. However, the smallest full-fledged composition in XM format is this «mini.xm».
