Nikki I prefer one especially since I'm gonna be going back to school next month, doing one will be hard enough but two is way too hard with the school load. Plus when there's two in general it's hard for me to get one from the library almost every month I don't know what it is but it sux cuz it's always the one i want to read more lol

Stephanee I like the Choice of two. This month I loved one of the books, but I just can't get into the other. It's nice to have a couple different options. I have really enjoyed joining this group. I have found some new great reads, while I wait patiently for the authors of all the others series I'm reading new books to come out. Thank you to everyone!!!!

JP Reads Mod
I'm going to wait a few days, but it seems like more people would prefer one BOTM than two. HOWEVER, I like the idea of having the book with the second most votes on the poll as a buddy read for members of the group that want to read that one. That way there are two choices and we can fit a Series Read Along in every month =)

Reggie On the one hand, I like having the choice of which book to read. I love a lot of the books that are picked, but some just aren't for me and I don't want to bore a thread by mentioning I DNF the book, or why it didn't work for me (unless it was a really big issue).

On the other hand, when there are two choices I often feel overwhelmed and have a hard time picking which to read (because two in a month is a lot for me, since I belong to more than one book club).

Heather I'm fine with whichever is decided - sometimes I read both, sometimes I'm too busy to even read one - as long as I can actually get the books. We recently had a Mead book that was a new release hardcover and I was so far down the waiting list that I just took myslef off of it.New release paperbacks, at least, are affordable if I have to buy them (especially in ebook format).

That's a good point. I love picking the books by which sounds best, but sometimes I don't realize that they're only available in hardcover. Suddenly what I thought was an affordable read has suddenly gobbled up my entire leisure fund for the month (provided I haven't already spent it, or that there wasn't some unexpected issue that meant no leisure fund that month, etc).

Not sure how to remedy that, though, other than making sure that we're extra vigilant in which ones we vote for, and that if we do like the sound of one in hardcover, that we're prepared to pay/wait for it and then comment in the threads when we've finally gotten it (which can sometimes be after the month is up, and I always feel awkward doing it, but it still might be fun to see who is still chatting about the book).
