Patsy ummmm??? What challenge???

message 2: by Hilary (new)

Hilary The yearly Goodreads reading challenge. This year's link is https://www.goodreads.com/challenges/....

message 3: by Marissa (new)

Marissa I haven't but I would

Mary Elizabeth Might as well. After all, it's books you've read, not books you've read for the first time since starting the challenge.

I agree. :)

message 6: by Hilary (new)

Hilary It depends on how people use the challenge. Some people treat it as "all books" and others as "all new books", so it's interesting to see what the divide is!

message 7: by Tefanie (new)

Tefanie I do, only if it's a long time ago when I read them. I want to track my reading journey as well, re-reads or not.

message 8: by M. (new)

M. P. No, I only count in books I'm reading for the first time.

message 9: by Hari (new)

Hari Brandl Of course!

message 10: by Danyelle (last edited Dec 27, 2020 09:31AM) (new)

Danyelle re-read or not I count it

message 11: by Erin (new)

Erin Penn I often add a second review - to rate how good the book is to reread - or if significant time has passed, how the book relates to today rather than what the world was and who I was when I read it the first time.

message 12: by Celia (new)

Celia Buell (semi hiatus) My thing is, all books IF I review them. Like Erin I'll usually add more to my review the second or next few times I read it. If I review it I add it.

message 13: by amelia.s.m (new)

amelia.s.m Yes, if I truly read the entire book, not just passages, but it's your choice :)

message 14: by Rory (new)

Rory Socket Im not one for stats but will re read a book where i have no recollection of plot.

message 15: by Pat (new)

Pat I rarely reread, but when I do, it's a new experience. I've changed, times have changed, perspectives change. It's like visiting another city or country for the second time. It's a second visit to me.

message 16: by JohnnyBear (new)

JohnnyBear I do so. For me, it still counts as reading the book.

message 17: by RedZRosebud (new)

RedZRosebud Patsy wrote: "ummmm??? What challenge???"

The reading challenge, it’s on the top right corner of your profile.

Judgemental Toast Why not? It's still a book read. Still counts as a book read. 🤷🏻‍♀️

message 19: by Latte (new)

Latte Hawthorne It literally says when you go to the reading challenge page “Re-reading? That counts too!”
