Oh man! I did not notice that my nomination was cheaper in print than ebook. I might have to vote against my own nomination. I hate when that happens!

Lol! Yeah, it is a bit unexpected though, so it is no surprise you didn't notice. Also I think we are getting so used to lower priced ebooks (esp. with indie authors) we are starting to forget some cost more. It does look like a good book though.
Hmm, I'm new to this group so just curious if voting turnout is always this low? I guess we have one day left but still...
Yeah we don't get a ton of voters; I have noticed other groups get a lot more. I'm not sure if they are actively discussing as well, or just voting on what looks good. The group is somewhat active so I'm not sure why the voting isn't larger. One thing is I don't send out a "hey, everyone vote!" message/email, because I've noticed sometimes with messages/tweets like that, people just vote and then don't reappear for the discussion.
Open to ideas though.
Another group I'm in gets a lot more people voting on the books (in the last poll, the top two books got 53 and 41 votes), but the discussions are usually much quieter than here.
We used to get more voters early on, but there would be more people voting because they happened to like a book, or friends of the authors, or thinking it might be interesting, but then at discussion time they were no-shows.I'm all for more votes, if they are "real" votes, but I'm not sure a way to go about that.
I agree, votes without participation don't mean anything. Maybe some ppl don't want to commit themselves because they don't know if they can participate in discussion later.
I'm okay with that, personally. :-)Anyway, if you join us this time with discussion (and you've had experience with other group discussions) maybe you can also give some input then, e.g. if our discussion also seems lackluster, or if it is just the voting. Welcome to the group, by the way.
Alright, voting is done! I have marked 77 Days in September as our "currently reading" option. The discussion will open on April 1st:
